A baby survives the same shipwreck from which Haruo was discovered. We learn there is another hidden legend this baby may fulfill. It is the Legend of the Dancing Ninja. The baby, whose trunk is caught in the fishing net of a boat, travels hundreds of miles to a city somewhere in Asia. He is adopted by a local shop owner and grows up in this visually dazzling environment of the urban far east.
